SHON DORSEY
Shon Dorsey oversees the organization’s direct service programs, community outreach and financial and non-financial resource allocations. He’s instrumental in advancing UWTC’s impact across Tarrant County in four areas: community health, education and learning, financial stability and community resiliency.
Dorsey brings more than 15 years of experience in nonprofit management, capacity building, program design and community development. Before joining UWTC in 2025, he served as national director of agency growth at Big Brothers Big Sisters of America where he spearheaded initiatives to expand the organization’s national reach through new agency development, strategic partnerships and organizational effectiveness. His leadership experience also includes roles with Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County, the YMCA of Greater San Antonio and United Way of Greater Houston.
Dorsey holds a Master of Social Work degree with a focus on leadership and administration from the University of Houston and a Bachelor of Arts in communication with an emphasis on public relations. A proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., he is passionate about shaping the communities where he lives, works and serves.
