Doulas play a vital role in supporting mothers every step of the way, from early pregnancy to postpartum months. This kind of care is especially crucial for Black mothers, whose maternal mortality rate is three times higher than that of white mothers in the U.S.
Through our Maternal Health program, we provide free doula services to support and guidance to moms-to-be. Families who live in 76104 or will deliver at a hospital or birth center in 76104, will be prioritized for in-person support. Virtual support is available to families outside of those areas.

Jasmine Gregory
Jasmine Gregory, a holistic healing practitioner and doula, is dedicated to redefining health, healing and the journey to parenthood. Her holistic principles seamlessly merge with her role as a doula, creating a safe and nurturing environment for expectant families. Jasmine's mission is to infuse the birthing journey with love and power, guiding families through childbirth and parenthood with compassion and grace.
Lynnicia Hudson
Lynnicia Hudson, a certified postpartum doula, has a foundation rooted in infant care, lactation consulting, herbal remedies, mental health advocacy and community care. She integrates all her services to assist individuals in achieving their goals and crossing life's finish lines one village at a time. Lynnicia's mission is to empower communities to dismantle the barriers surrounding maternal and infant sustainability.
Maris Young
Maris Young, a doula, writer and public speaker, became aware of the importance of perinatal support to community wellbeing after becoming a mother in 2017. With degrees in Linguistics and French plus a minor in Spanish, Maris possesses a talent for understanding people's hearts. From 2019-2020, she hosted Young Honest Mother: The Podcast, facilitating meaningful conversations about marriage, motherhood and modern home economics. As a doula, Maris seeks to restore birth as a rite of passage, offering compassionate care that honors this sacred chapter of life. She combines narrative therapy and somatic trauma resolution techniques to help individuals navigate the journey of becoming parents.
Tyra Ross
Tyra Ross, a trained full-spectrum doula, has been counseling mothers in breastfeeding since 2020 as a lactation counselor for her company, Breast Friends For Life. Following her own birth experience, Tyra identified a lack of support and resources for mothers, sparking her passion for aiding mothers in navigating the postpartum experience. She currently focuses on building healthy environments with a mother's mental health in mind.
