Thursday, November 7, 2024

FORT WORTH, Texas (November 7, 2024) — As part of its ongoing commitment to empower women and girls in the community, United Way of Tarrant County’s Women United network has named Lauren Team as the new steering committee chair.

Women United is a collective of women dedicated to strengthening communities by funding initiatives that uplift and support women and girls throughout Tarrant County. Team will lead the steering committee in a term concluding June 2025.

“I’m honored and excited to be this year’s chair of Women United, a group of inspiring women doing impactful work professionally, personally and civically,” said Team, who first joined UWTC’s Women United in 2021. “You cannot stop a united group of women on a mission, and I hope this year we reach, encourage and inspire even more dynamic and dedicated women to join Women United.

As Women United chair, Team will serve as an ambassador and advocate for Women United in the community and as a member of the United Way of Tarrant County Board of Directors.

Team is the Senior Vice President of Marketing at Security State Bank & Trust. In addition to her role with Women United, she is a member of the Junior League of Fort Worth and a volunteer with the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo.

“Women United’s efforts to uplift and invest in women and girls in our community is crucial to our work building a stronger, more resilient Tarrant County,” said Regina R. Williams, LMSW, UWTC’s Chief Impact Officer and interim CEO. “I look forward to seeing all that Women United will accomplish with Lauren’s leadership.”
