FORT WORTH (March 2, 2023) – For the first time in Tarrant County, high school students will be offering their services as trained and IRS-certified tax preparation volunteers. Twelve Birdville Center of Technology and Advanced Learning (BCTAL) accounting students will prepare basic tax returns for free for qualifying individuals and households on March 4 as part of this event. This represents a new partnership between the Birdville Independent School District and United Way of Tarrant County’s Volunteer Income Tax Preparation program, giving these students applicable workforce experience while providing valuable community service.
WHAT: Free tax prep services at Birdville ISD BCTAL provided by high school students
The BCTAL high school students, trained and IRS-certified by United Way of Tarrant County, will provide basic tax return preparation to families and individuals with household incomes of $60,000 or less. No appointments required.
