OSC Now Accepting Nominations for Youth Steering Committee

Tuesday, July 2, 2024

The One Second Collaborative (OSC) announces the opening of nominations for its Youth Steering Committee (YSC), an advisory group of 15 young leaders from across Tarrant County that will provide guidance, recommendations and leadership to the OSC.

The YSC is open to young people, ages 14 to 24, who express great interest in sharing their thoughts, ideas, and experiences to create a safer Tarrant County for themselves, their peers and the community.

Nominations must be submitted by July 26, 2024.

The YSC aims to promote and highlight the ideas, recommendations, and experiences of youth impacted by gun violence by integrating their lived experiences and expertise with that of the OSC Steering Committee. This collaboration aims to identify opportunities to better support youth and families affected by youth gun violence while also increasing community awareness of its impacts and promoting youth gun violence prevention and intervention efforts in Tarrant County.
