When Deanna W. Titzler joined UWTC two years ago, she immediately jumped into the role as brand ambassador. As our chief communications and marketing officer, she crafts messages of hope and change using her talent for storytelling and vibrant spirit.
In her role, Deanna leads the Communications and Marketing team, using creative strategies to highlight UWTC's impactful work. Her biggest passion lies in engaging with people about UWTC's programs and witnessing their surprise when they discover how much direct service programming we provide.
Deanna's personal values are deeply intertwined with UWTC's mission and values. "Being part of a team that truly cares about making a difference in the community makes the hard work worth it," she said.
Although Deanna hails from sunny San Diego, California, she has called Tarrant County home for more than half her life. She is a loud and proud Baylor Bear, having earned her Bachelor of Business Administration at Baylor University and her Master of Arts in communication and leadership studies at Gonzaga University.
When Deanna is not in the office, she is likely exploring a new destination. Her love for travel is not just about sightseeing, but also about learning the history and culture of the places she visits, and of course, tasting the local cuisine.
And here's a fun tidbit: Deanna spent three years living in India, where she volunteered teaching English as a second language to children living in destitute conditions with limited access to education. This life-changing experience inspired her to leave the corporate world and dive into the fulfilling journey of the nonprofit sector.
