Lupita Macias is making a meaningful impact in Tarrant County. As a service navigator for the Area Agency on Aging of Tarrant County (AAATC), she connects older adults with essential support to help them live independently and with dignity.
In her role, she visits clients in their homes, carefully assessing their needs to connect them with the most effective support. Through AAATC’s services—including health maintenance, residential repairs, and personal assistance or respite care—clients receive practical solutions that improve their daily lives.
With a deep-rooted passion for service, Lupita finds the most rewarding aspect of her work to be building relationships with clients and seeing firsthand the impact of AAATC’s care. She recalls a time when a client passed away shortly after she assisted him. The client’s caregiver expressed appreciation for Lupita and the work AAATC did to provide necessities in his final days.
Lupita also is committed to raising awareness within the Hispanic and Latino community about aging and caregiving resources.
When she’s not spending time with clients, the Tarleton State University alum enjoys watching her favorite wrestler, WWE’s Roman Reigns, spending time with family and friends, baking, listening to true crime podcasts or walking her dog, Raider.
