United Way of Tarrant County’s Area Agency on Aging of Tarrant County (AAATC) focuses on helping the older adults in our community live healthy, happy lives. Our dedicated service navigators, including Tesla Silva, make a significant impact.
In her role, Tesla works with adults over 60 in our community enabling them to live safely in their homes, access nutritious foods and have the resources they need to feel healthy and independent. She coordinates important services such as the installation of ramps and grab bars, ordering of health supplies and arranging in-home care.
Tesla also makes a point to offer a listening ear to those who need it.
Originally from North Central California, Tesla started her educational journey at Oklahoma State University for her bachelor's degree and then received her master’s degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. Post-graduation, Tesla desired to make a positive impact on her community, leading her to the AAATC.
Beyond the office, Tesla finds solace in the outdoors. Her small-town upbringing, filled with adventures like riding four-wheelers and catching bugs, fostered a deep love for nature that continues to resonate in her life today.
Tesla exemplifies the spirit of United Way of Tarrant County, contributing to the community with passion, empathy and a commitment to improving the lives of others.
