United Way of Tarrant County is making it easier than ever for residents to file their taxes and get the biggest refund possible with our first annual VITAthon, a free, all-day tax preparation event.
The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is hosting a VITAthon, a free, all-day tax preparation event.
Join us on Saturday, March 29, 2025, when our Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program will provide free tax prep during extended hours (9 a.m. – 7 p.m.) at two of our tax sites:
- Tarrant County College South Campus' Family Empowerment Center, 5301 Campus Drive, Fort Worth, TX 76119
- Community Enrichment Center's Community Room, 6250 Northeast Loop 820, North Richland Hills, TX 76180
This free service is available to individuals and families earning $67,000 or less annually.
No appointment required, and walk-ins are welcome. IRS-certified volunteers will assist taxpayers, ensuring they receive all eligible credits and deductions, including the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and the Child Tax Credit (CTC). These essential credits can provide significant financial relief to qualifying individuals and families.
Our goal is to file more than 150 tax returns that day, helping as many residents as possible keep more of their hard-earned money just two weeks prior to Tax Day, April 15. By participating in the VITAthon, taxpayers can avoid costly preparation fees and have confidence their returns are completed accurately and securely.
