Affordable Connectivity Program

Sometimes, one small key can open up a whole wide world.

Often, that key is affordable internet access. Crucial for work, school, health care and more, a computer or tablet with internet access can be the one tool that helps a disadvantaged person get ahead.

The Affordable Connectivity Program, a benefit program from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), provides discounts on home internet services and devices such as tablets and computers, for people who need help paying for their current internet service, or those who do not yet have home internet service.

Eligible households can receive:

  • A monthly discount of up to $30 per month toward internet service
  • A one-time discount of up to $100 to purchase a laptop, desktop computer or tablet from participating providers if they contribute more than $10 and less than $50 toward the purchase price
