Vickie L. Allen has been named Director of Major Gifts for United Way of Tarrant County. Vickie has experience in a variety of sectors focused on empowering, inspiring and uplifting people to reach their highest potential. For more than a decade she was an Assistant Professor in the Business Administration Department at St. Catherine University in St. Paul and Minneapolis, one of the largest Catholic liberal arts institutions educating women to lead and influence.
Vickie also previously served as Executive Director of Jeremiah Program, a nationally-recognized nonprofit that helps women and children transform from poverty to prosperity through education and career-track employment. In addition, she spent more than 10 years in the corporate sector, serving in various leadership and sales roles with Xerox, IBM and M&M Mars.
Vickie is a 2004 Bush Foundation Leadership Fellow. She received her Master’s in Public Administration from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and her Bachelor of Science degree from Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York. She is an avid volunteer and a proud mentor to numerous young women in the early stages of their careers. Welcome, Vickie!
