United Way has helped Tarrant County residents save more than $2 million on their prescription medications, thanks to its partnership with the FamilyWize organization and promotion of the free FamilyWize prescription savings card. The card can reduce the cost of prescriptions for anyone who uses it.
By simply presenting the FamilyWize card at their local pharmacy, people save on the cost of their prescription medicine by an average of 42%, and potentially more for people without insurance or who take medications not covered by their plan.
The FamilyWize prescription savings card can be used by anyone, including people with Medicaid or Medicare. Use of the card is unlimited, does not require any personal information from the user and has no eligibility criteria.
