Where New Ideas Are Planted, Solutions Grow

VOLUNTEER

UWTC seeks volunteers with an interest in helping with the process of finding innovative ideas to address social issues. Volunteers are needed for proposal review in September and KERNEL Pitch Event and Award assistance in November.

UWTC will publish a Request for Proposals in May. Proposal reviewers will read and objectively score proposals in September. Each proposal will be scored by a team of three reviewers. Reviewers will also participate in a brief training prior to review and discussion after review to verify scoring.

Event volunteers will help plan, organize and staff the Pitch Event in November. Volunteers will facilitate the successful and entertaining event where community investors become center stage to play a major role in selecting the recipient of awards.

The Pitch Event will include dinner, presentation of proposals, investor questions and finally the selection of proposals to fund.
