UWTC will publish a Request for Proposals in May. Community investors may volunteer to review proposals that are submitted by the due date. United Way staff and volunteers will objectively review submitted applications.
In October, community investors become center stage to play a major role in selecting the recipients of awards. Community investors will participate as the final decision makers during the KERNEL Pitch Event, where finalists will present their proposals and plans. The community investors will have the majority vote in determining which ideas receive funding and how much funding they receive. Community investors also have the opportunity to further support the finalists and selected proposals through additional funding at the community investors’ discretion.
United Way of Tarrant County requests proposals for Social Innovation projects in the fields of education, income and health for a one-year funding period beginning Nov. 3, 2017 through Nov. 2, 2018.
