Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a national program thatmails age-appropriate books monthly to children from birth to age 5 in their homes to encourage a love of reading. More than 94,500 books have been given away since United Way brought the program to Tarrant County in 2008. Children who begin the program at birth can accumulate 60 books!
Now children in Fort Worth ZIP codes 76110, 76111, 76112 and 76148; andArlington areas 76006 and 76018 can receive free books to establish home libraries. They join youngsters in 76104, 76105, 76119 and 76164 (Fort Worth); 76010, 76011, 76012 and 76014 (Arlington); 76039 and 76040 (Euless); and 76117 (Haltom City).
