Why Give To United Way?
United Way sets high standards for its conduct. Since 1922, Tarrant County residents have entrusted United Way of Tarrant County to effectively and efficiently invest their dollars to improve thousands of lives. That’s why United Way of Tarrant County has earned a 4 star rating from Charity Navigator with a 100% in Accountability & Transparency.
Donating to United Way is an investment back into the Tarrant County community. Your donations to our United Way Community Fund and Impact Areas (Education, Income and Health) stay right here in Tarrant County. We fund dozens of programs that provide services to the people of our community.
United Way analyzes local social service needs, identifies where funding is needed most and strategically invests in lasting change. In 2009, we set out on a mission to improve Tarrant County with measurable results in Education, Income and Health by the year 2020. We created a 10-year strategy and developed milestones that we call our BOLD GOALS.
United Way uses proven, research-based approaches to solve complex community problems. We deliver measurable results through strategic, evidence-based programs that change lives. That’s why every year, we have 3rd party evaluators review and measure our 3 Impact initiatives to see what our results are, record how far we are from our bold goals, determine if we’re truly making an impact and give a thumbs-up or thumbs-down to continue.
