OUR EARN WELL INITIATIVE

Our community benefits when low-income working families can increase their income and manage their money. We focus on these strategies to help families become more financially stable:

  • VITA: Helping families obtain tax refunds through VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program
  • JOB TRAINING: Equipping workers with in-demand job skills that qualify them for higher-paying jobs
  • FINANCIAL COACHING: Building long-term financial security through smart budgets, better credit scores and emergency savings
  • GED CLASSES: Helping workers acquire improved reading and math skills and earn their GED

DID YOU KNOW?

Families who come to our VITA Tax Centers earn an average income of $19,000 a year. Through this and other programs, we are helping families save the cost of tax preparation and ensuring they claim all of the tax credits they are eligible for. This year we helped file 7,322 tax returns and helped families receive almost 12 million in tax refunds.
