The Financial Fitness DFW Fort Worth Fair is part of Financial Fitness DFW, a collaboration of financial institutions, nonprofits and government entities committed to promoting financial education. The United Ways of Tarrant County and Metropolitan Dallas co-chair Financial Fitness DFW because individuals and communities benefitwhen consumers make informed decisions about their personal finances.
Financial stability is one of United Way of Tarrant County’s three main focus areas. Our goal is to help 24,000 low-income working families on the path to financial stability by 2020. At the April 21 Fort Worth City Council meeting, United Way CEO Tim McKinney accepted a proclamation declaring April “Financial Fitness DFW Month.” The City of Fort Worth is one of the lead partners in United Way’s financial stability efforts.
