On June 21, 2018, United Way of Tarrant County will host its annual Day of Action, an opportunity for volunteers, philanthropic partners, and advocates to contribute to community solutions that truly make a difference. Individuals and groups of all kinds come together to donate time, money, and resources.
This year’s event is designed to address a critical community need: restocking Tarrant County homeless shelters and other agencies in need of emergency resources. The recent winter season and an influx of residents from Hurricanes Harvey and Irma have led to a supply deficit, so United Way of Tarrant County is inviting community members to:
- Donate toiletry and cleaning supplies or host a collection drive
- Donate money or fundraise for recipient agencies to buy needed supplies
- Donate time on Thursday, June 21 by volunteering at one of our community packing sites or hosting your own supply-packing event
