JOIN A COMMITTEE OR COUNCIL

Volunteer your time and join a Committee or Council. The time commitment is only five to six meeting times a year.

Councils oversee core agency services and impact initiatives:

  • Education Council

    Getting children and youth ready to learn, ready to earn

  • Income Council

    Helping families become financially stable and self-sufficient

  • Health Council

    Promoting healthy aging and independent living for seniors and people with disabilities

Committees are smaller working meetings for a variety of functions. Committees include:

United Way Arlington Steering Committee

A partnership between the United Way of Tarrant County, the City of Arlington and citizens addressing human service needs in Arlington.

United Way Northeast Steering Committee

Addressing human service needs in Northeast Tarrant County.

Diversity Committee 

Supports an inclusive environment within United Way of Tarrant County, reflecting our community and United Way’s vision.

Public Policy Committee

Determines United Way’s priorities for federal and state legislation affecting Education, Income and Health.
