A new Blueprint for Board Service class has graduated and is ready to serve. The United Way Blueprint program is an opportunity to learn from—and network with—fellow professionals who are passionate about addressing our community’s most critical issues. Members of this year’s newly-graduated Blueprint class are, from left, Randall Gentry, Cortney Gumbleton, Lorena Loucel, Elizabeth Blake, Alix Allison, Delle Drinks-Williams, Kelli Conway, Leslie Hughes, Lawrence Jordan and Yolanda Roberts.
Blueprint for Board Service participants learn how to drive change in our community while serving on a nonprofit board, council or committee. The course covers topics such as governance, nonprofit finance, and evaluation and outcomes. It culminates in a “Speed Networking” exercise with board members of United Way and its partner agencies that provides additional learning and a time to match participants with available service opportunities. Congratulations to this year’s graduates!
