On Thursday, September 15, United Way’s Area Agency on Aging will join other partners in sponsoring a free screening and discussion of Being Mortal, a documentary based on the best-selling book, Being Mortal: Medicine and What Matters in the End, by Atul Gawande, MD.
This PBS FRONTLINE film explores the hopes of patients and families facing terminal illness, and their relationships with the physicians who treat them.
The screening will take place from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the UNT Health Science Center MET Building 109/110, 3500 Camp Bowie Blvd. in Fort Worth. Lunch will be provided.
United Way and its Area Agency on Aging invite you to attend and be part of a national conversation that unites medical professionals and community members around the shared responsibility of discussing what matters most to patients and families facing difficult treatment decisions, and how to have these conversations before a medical crisis strikes.
