When expressing your feelings to an entire group of women, no serenading by a lone balladeer beneath a balcony will suffice. Instead, United Way hosted a Member Appreciation Celebration for the Women’s Leadership Council April 9 featuring the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra.
After a social reception of “lite bites and refreshments” in the Green Room of Bass Hall, WLC members enjoyed the orchestra’s performance of Selections from Cinderella, Opus 87 (Prokofiev); Violin Concerto in D Minor, Op. 47 (Sibelius); and La Luna Azul (Adam Schoenberg). “We wanted a special way to show our appreciation to this group of strong and generous community leaders who last year invested $1.2 million in our community through United Way,” said Sarah Sibilsky, United Way Senior Major Gifts Officer. “They are remarkable role models who are truly making life better for others.”
