Young Leaders Society

What is the United Way Young Leaders Society?

Members of the United Way Young Leaders Society are young professionals ages 21 to 45 who contribute $1,000 or more annually to Tarrant County United Way. The YLS mission is to inspire philanthropy and volunteerism by actively engaging the next generation of decision-makers in a unique blend of service, education, social and networking activities throughout the year.

Through the "Fast Track" plan, members who make a three-year commitment to donate $500 the first year, $750 the second year and $1,000 the third year can still enjoy all YLS membership benefits immediately.

Day of Action
Members of the United Way Young Leaders Society read stories to children and gave away books at child development centers in Fort Worth and Arlington. The event was one of hundreds of volunteer “Day of Action” activities being held by United Ways across the nation. One of United Way’s main interests is fostering learning opportunities for preschoolers so they will succeed after starting kindergarten.

YLS Joins Cowtown Cleanup
Frigid winds did not prevent 15 members of the United Way Young Leaders Society from cleaning up Trail Drivers' Park in North Fort Worth as part of the annual Cowtown Great American Cleanup. The hardy YLS members picked up 25 bags of trash before heading home to warm up.
