This festive drawing and the others below were made by participants in United Way’s early grade reading improvement program. As you make your holiday gift list and check it twice, please consider giving an extra gift to further the work of United Way and its partners in the areas of education, financial stability and health.
A little can do a lot:
• $14 will help a child learn important social skills such as cooperation and self-control while benefitting from educational and recreational activities.
• $28 will provide a class to help someone improve their literacy skills and get a job that leads to self-sufficiency.
• $45 will provide services to put a person who is homeless on the path to independence and stability.
• $72 will provide 4 hours of respite care to help a family take a break from the physical demands and stress of caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s at home.
The possibilities are endless, so take a moment to donate here. It’s fast, easy and secure. And it feels good!
