United Way employs an average of 97 people divided among its main operations, 2-1-1 and Area Agency on Aging. Hundreds of people are involved in the organization as volunteers through its Education, Income and Health Impact Councils and annual fundraising campaign.

United Way of Tarrant County raises more than $30 million annually to advance its work. About two-thirds of that amount comes from the annual campaign, with much of the remaining revenue coming from grants. The organization has a strong reputation in the community and a committed Board of Directors that meets six times a year.
