FREE TAX HELP

You can get your income tax return prepared and filed by an IRS-certified tax preparer for free! All you need is

  • Tax information such as W-2, 1099, or 1098
  • Social Security Card or ITIN letter for you and all persons on your tax return
  • Proof of identity (Picture ID)
  • Combined household income of $50,000 or less

Convenient locations are open days, evenings and weekends to help you. This free tax help is provided by United Way and Catholic Charities as part of the United Way of Tarrant County Financial Stability Initiative. Call 211 to learn more.

Improve your money situation free of charge! Learn to manage your money for things you want or need. Thanks to United Way, Money School is offered by Catholic Charities at no cost to you. Learn about

  • Saving for emergencies
  • Teaching children about money

Classes are held all year long at a a variety of convenient locations. Weekday, night and weekend classes are available. Money School is for Tarrant County residents who earn less than $50,000 a year.
