At a March 26 town hall meeting sponsored by United Way, more than 130 advocates from across Tarrant County gathered at the Botanical Research Institute of Texas in Fort Worth to share their concerns about upcoming state budget cuts with four Tarrant County legislators. Participants included advocates for people with disabilities, those who are homeless, child protection, older adults and mental health, among others.
The legislators who attended were State Rep. Lon Burnam, State Sen. Wendy Davis, State Rep. Barbara Nash and State Rep. Diane Patrick.
