I want to take this opportunity to extend my very best wishes to everyone associated with our United Way family for a joyous holiday season and a happy and healthy New Year.

I truly believe that there are much better times ahead soon. But the reality is that these are challenging times for all of us. Some of our fellow citizens find themselves in circumstances that they have never dreamed would happen to them. Some people are suffering as never before. There are people in Tarrant County who are jobless for the first time in their life. There are families who face eviction from their dwelling because of dire financial conditions. Health problems prevent some people from keeping a job that would sustain even a minimal lifestyle.

As we reflect and give thanks for all of our many blessings and good fortune, let us not forget or neglect those around us in need of our assistance. Your investment in our United Way is needed now more than ever before. Please do consider a gift if you have not already given.

Thank you and Seasons Greetings from the staff of United Way of Tarrant County.
